Welcome to my home! I can’t wait to share it with you!
I found the perfect little house in the Heights area of Little Rock in February 2018 and it’s been my happy place ever since! I was lucky enough to share it in an article in the April issue of 501 Life Magazine but there was so much more to share that I decided to write three blog posts on it (guest bedroom and master bedroom to come).
It truly reflect who I am, what I love, and the things that make me happy! I’ve filled it with colors, patterns, unique art, family pictures, and all the little things that add great detail. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoy coming home here after a long day!

When you walk in my home the first room you enter is a long and narrow living area. I used rectangular shaped furniture to fill the rectangular shaped room. it looks full but not crammed and every area has a nice flow.
I pushed the boundaries in this space with some one my fabric and art pairings but everything surprisingly works together rather than clashing. At first I never used this room and I didn’t like that I wasn’t utilizing every room in my home, so I did what any millennial would do and put a T.V. in there. I usually curl up on this couch to work on my blog or lay out a yoga mat and put on a work out video. It’s quickly transitioned into my go to room.
I will tell you one valuable lesson I’ve learned…you’ll never want to cook in a kitchen that doesn’t make you happy. I can probably count on two hands the amount of times I cooked in my previous kitchens but I’ve found I enjoy being in this kitchen therefore I enjoy cooking!
I have bright art filling the walls, colorful pictures and vases in the corners, and a fun pink leopard runner in front of my sink to give this space personality.
Den and Dining Area
My kitchen opens up into a large den that is also used as my dining area (and my office but luckily my always cluttered desk did not make the photo).
When I worked at Cynthia East Fabrics all of us fell in love with this buffalo check. I knew it was bold and a little more “french country” than my usual taste but i knew with the right accessories it would fit right in. When moving into my home I found it actually helped make my black iron coffee table fit in a room with light colors and white walls.
I used colorful fabrics and art and gold tones to make the room light and bright like the rest of the home.
It’s all in the details
Meet my roomie Oswald!
Let’s get real this is Ozzie’s house and I just live in it! There’s really nothing off-limits for Ozzie in this house (except the blue sofa which I’m sure he lays on when I’m not home) so I’ve learned to keep him in mind when choosing fabrics, bedding, etc. He may make having clean white bedding seam impossible but he’s totally worth it!
Ozzie is a 1.5 year old golden retriever who weights 90 lbs. but thinks he the size of a lap dog. He can have the whole couch to himself but he prefers sitting right on top of you. Hey, as long as he’s comfortable, right?!
Thank you so much for reading this post!
